When I was young, I studied in Tokyo Japan and stayed with a host family for couple years. They named me “ Hoshiko ” which mean “ Star ". The host family own couple ramen shops in Tokyo. They taught me how to cook ramen and other Japanese foods. Then I moved back to Bangkok, went to study in Beijing China, and came to San Francisco for Bachelor and Master at San Francisco State University and Le Cordon Bleu. I have opened an American Breakfast Restaurant “Home Plate” since 2009.
My partner; a former co-owner of a Thai restaurants called Osha Thai, Lao Table, and Coriander who started creating Osha empire in San Francisco. He has a passion of Japanese food and culinary art.
We opened a test kitchen in Marina called “Hoshi Ramen and Rice”
We would like to create a new brand, wanting to bring our experiences to present Japanese food in style and individuality. Now it's about time to share all of our experiences from the East. We would like to introduce you to "Hoshinoya" the place of stars.
